YU (President CHOI Oe-chool) students embarked on National Territorial Trekking of 100km on Jeju Island.

On the 17th, 50 YU students boarded a plane from Daegu Airport to Jeju Island. They arrived at Pyoseon Beach in Jeju Island and had an opening ceremony for National Territorial Trekking on Jeju Island.

They walk a total of 100km, including a 95km section from Jeju Olle Trail Course 4 to Course 10 and a 5km trekking course in Hallasan Yeongsil, for 7 days and 6 nights.Excluding the travel itinerary from Daegu to Jeju Island, they walk an average of about 20 km per day.
In the evening during the National Territorial Campaign, character education such as a special lecture on the spirit of challenge and a team building program will be conducted.
Student NA Seung-hun (4th grade of Faculty of Physical Education), a participant of the National Territorial Trekking, said, “I participated in this National Territorial Trekking to develop confidence in myself and to gain valuable experiences from my school days. I overlap with the summer rainy season and the weather is very hot but I hope everyone will safely finish the race by cheering and encouraging one another.”
President CHOI Oe-chool of YU visited Daegu Airport and encouraged the students right before the departure of the national trek. He (below photo) said, “I hope that it will be an opportunity for students to participate in the National Territorial Trekking, develop leadership, develop self-confidence, and plan their future. There may be times when it is difficult and exhausting in the middle of the hot weather, but with the spirit of Cheonma, let's finish the race without giving up and return to school healthy.”
